Meet Michael Perkins of DJ Mic Productions in Fort Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Perkins.

Michael, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
DJ Mic Productions LLC. started after I officiated a wedding in Burlington NJ. For my wife’s friend and they didn’t have a sound system when I went to the wedding rehearsal. I couldn’t imagine anyone having a wedding without proper sound I mean it’s one of life’s biggest and most important ceremonies so after consulting with the bride and groom explaining to them that I would purchase equipment to use at no charge to them they agreed that the sound system was needed.

I purchased a wireless microphone, 2 speakers, speaker stands, and a small mixer using my laptop to play the music and the wedding was amazing leaving the bride and groom in tears of joy. I have had a love for music, bringing joy to people, graphics, and good ole partying for just about all my life so why not become a DJ.

Currently, we offer Professional DJ services including Audio, Video, Lighting Decor and much more. We service the Corporate and Private markets in the DFW Metroplex. We also travel to other cities, states, and countries.

Has it been a smooth road?
The road has had some bumps when it comes to marketing and getting booked. We have found ways to market ourselves that actually show our skills, expertise, and equipment in its best light.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We specialize in entertainment and we’re most proud of our Lighting Decor. What set us apart from other DJ companies is our professionalism and our attention to detail. Honestly, we work to create epic moments that are very difficult to copy.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I feel our city is a great place for a business like DJ Mic Productions LLC. I believe a person with great ambition could start a company and do very well in the DFW market because of the large population.
