Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
My journey in film and television has been a fruitful one that I cherish. Starting as a production assistant and transitioning to assistant director and then writer/producer/director in addition to being a creative executive has given me the opportunity to see all aspects of the business.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My first love was writing and I’ve been writing since I was a teen. I’ve written over a dozen feature films and TV shows. Killer Beat a Tubi Original, Terror Lake Drive for ALLBLK Network, Deadly Squatters, Reality TV Murders, The Loyalty Test for Maverick entertainment. Writing and directing is my sweet spot and directing is my happy place. I also love developing and pitching projects under Boogievision Creative Studio, the company I run with my wife Ashlee, who is the Head of Production. We specialize in developing thought provoking, high level projects that stand the test of time. We are proud to be able to tell stories the resonate, inspire and entertain.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
The next 5–10 years will favor independent filmmakers who understand both craft and strategy. The industry is moving away from excess and toward precision—clear audiences, strong genre storytelling, and filmmakers who can deliver high-quality work on smart, scalable budgets. As streamers tighten, independent cinema will lead in innovation, ownership, and cultural relevance. Authentic voices, efficient production models, and filmmaker-led studios will drive the next wave. Those of us who’ve proven we can consistently deliver and build audiences will be best positioned to lead, collaborate, and sustain long-term careers.
While technology will streamline production, a clear and authentic voice will continue to set creators apart. Ultimately, the filmmakers who thrive will be those who understand both the art and the business: creators who can protect their vision while adapting to new models, shifting platforms, and evolving audience behavior.
