Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Watkins II.
Michael Watkins II is the CEO of The Code Chasers. Michael Watkins II found his passion in life at an early age! He received his 1st iPad at four years old and that’s when his coding journey began. He attended his first coding camp at eight years old. Entrepreneurship is something Michael has always enjoyed. He started his first business at 11 years old. He published his first e-book at 11. Michael is a 2020 graduate of Dale Carnegie youth course. He is also a Certified Game Developer, Certified Android and IOS App Developer and Teacher. Michael is the CEO of The Code Chasers. The company offers many services including live coding demonstrations, Coding & Technology Classes, App Development and Public Speaking Events.
Michael loves speaking to people about all of the opportunities available in tech fields. Michael realizes how blessed he is to have the opportunity to learn as much as he possibly can about whatever he has a passion for and he never takes that for granted. He realizes many passed generations were not afforded the opportunities he has today, so that is what drives him. Juggling an aggressive STEM school curriculum and his business can be quite a challenge at times for this 13-year-old but he truly realizes what is at stake. Michael understands that school is important but his business allows him to dream! One of Michael’s biggest passions is philanthropy he feels that coding can truly change the lives of children in underserved communities. Michael has partnered with a non-profit organization that helps Fathers become more active in their children’s education. This partnership has been influential in bringing coding classes to children around the US. Currently Michael is working with small businesses in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to develop apps to help them get their businesses the online exposure they need during these challenging times. So many small businesses struggle with having an online presence and that is critical to a successful business today. Michael understands how important small businesses are to our local communities.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges is having adults take my business endeavors seriously. Also finding the resources to learn the skills I needed early on.

Michael is the CEO of The Code Chasers. The company offers many services including: live coding demonstrations, Coding & Technology Classes, App & Web Development and Public Speaking Events. What makes our company unique is that we approach coding from a youth prospective. Understanding how to relate coding to the everyday lives of children. We also work primarily with small businesses that currently do not have an online presence and show them how easy and affordable it can be to join the internet world!
What were you like growing up?
Michael knew Coding was for him at a very early age. He was primarily self-taught until age eight when he attended his first summer Coding Camp. Which fueled his entrepreneurship dreams. Michael has always been very outgoing and loves public speaking. Michael loves Science and Technology but one of his passions is History as well. He also loves to travel.
