Meet Michael Wray of New Travel Peeps in Irving

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael Wray.

Michael, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Born and raised in Nashville, TN. I was first exposed to traveling when I was blessed to go on a trip to Hawaii in 2009. I fell in love! From that experience, I wanted to learn more about different other cultures and lifestyles. A few years later after going on a solo trip to Aruba in 2013, I realized other people should experience this same joy that I have. My idea turned into reality & “New Travel Peeps” originated in 2015.

There are many things traveling has taught me, but one of its most important lessons is to appreciate life more.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There have been a few struggles along the way. I want everyone to have a great experience on each trip but understand at times there will be obstacles. There will be times that the shuttle will be late, the weather is unpredictable, sometimes there’s some language barriers in foreign locations, someone will oversleep, etc… Many people expect a perfect trip but for the most part, there’s never going to be the perfect trip. You will have a great time overall and we have so many returning travelers because of the great experiences they’ve had.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about New Travel Peeps – what should we know?
We are an affordable group travel company that allows you to travel to great locations around the world for very affordable prices. We’re able to get wholesale prices because of the amount of travelers we bring to each location. On an average, we have 40 plus travelers on each location. We provide flight, hotel, transportation and several excursions on our trips. We also allow payment plans that allow you to pay off your balance after placing your low deposit payments.

We are extremely proud of being able to have successful group trips to Dubai 2016, Cancun 2017, South Africa 2017, Egypt 2018, Greece 2018, Punta Cana 2018, Thailand 2018, Dubai 2019. We also have upcoming trips in 2019 to Bali/Malaysia/Singapore, Australia, and South Africa. Our 2020 schedule will be released very soon.

Most other travel groups only provide the location without flights and transportation. This is the hardest part because airlines are not to accommodating on hold seats waiting for payments. It can be very challenging reserving group flights but we have done a pretty good job so far.

New Travel Peeps offers well-planned travel events that include leisure time & a balance of excursions along with knowledgeable tourists, and very safe travel experience. I am truly blessed by our accomplishments thus far, learning to enjoy life to the fullest, and blessing others to have the opportunity to the same.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
We want to stay ambitious, stay courageous, continuous learners of anything we’re unaware of. We work to confront the fears that hold most people back because can become challenging with world-wide traveling.

• Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa for $2,500.00, with a $300.00 deposit
