Today we’d like to introduce you to Miguel Law.
Miguel, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I began to learn cooking was my passion when I began to have anxiety attacks and through cooking, it seemed to calm those attacks, so after praying about it and speaking to family, I attended le cordon bleu and graduated with my culinary degree. From there, I had a passion of cooking food with my own twist and watching people be amazed and little things you can do with food, so from there, I began my own catering service, something affordable, but yet still that great experience you would get from anywhere else.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has not been smooth. Building my clientele is a struggle and also marketing myself is tough as well, but the more people learn about me and how I have a passion in what I do and love I know, eventually this will become a thing in the past.
Chevelles catering – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Well, I am a chef, I specialize in seafood but will adjust my menu to anyone’s liking. I’m known for going above and beyond and providing wonderful customer service. I’m most proud of my company because it is a family based company and my family supports me 110%. I believe what sets me apart is my unique thinking of pairing ingredients together and thinking outside the box.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success as enjoying what you do regardless of the financial gain, yes, of course, we all want to make money in our success as well, I have open criteria, honestly and the markers I’m looking out for is everyone. I want everyone to try something new and interesting and bring a new taste into their life.

I have had the pleasure with working along side Miguel in the culinary field. From Fast paced restaurant work, to catering expertise. His passion for the culinary arts are sure there and he strives to make his customers/guests happy in ways of customer service as well as the wonderful food he has made that I have seen first hand and also been part of creating. Not only does he have a passion from cooking but also doing local tattoo work at an affordable price. I have personally had his tattoo work done on me and I haven’t been disappointed. I am grateful to know I have worked and been close friends with a person that strives for success and doesn’t ask for much from people but instead gives more than he takes. Couldn’t be more proud big homie! Keep up the good work!
