Today we’d like to introduce you to Mike Sullivan.
Michael has been a lifetime dog lover. He grew up on a farm in Ireland and his family always had Border Collie sheepdogs. Each dog played a valuable role on the farm but an even more important role within the family. At a very early age, Michael won his first award for animal husbandry. He started his first business supporting farmers at the early age of 16.
Michael and his wife visited the United States many times and dreamed of moving here. They are very particular about where they leave their little dog Minnie, a miniature Australian Shepherd. While in Dallas, he saw the need for a fabulous, upscale pet care facility. Paw Lofts was born.
Has it been a smooth road?
The main struggles in getting started was getting the fit out of the building done, we ran over budget and over our scheduled opening date by several months, however, we are very happy with how the place turned out.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Paw Lofts – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
We are a full service all suite pet hotel with 120 individual rooms, we have 7 separate indoor and outdoor play areas for our daycare clients. We also offer bathing and grooming services and hope to dog training as well shortly.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The best thing about Dallas is the people, I have found Dallasites to be friendly and extremely supportful of us when setting up Paw Lofts.
The worst thing is the extremely hot Summer months, but I always say a sunny day beats the hell out of a cold wet day anytime.
