Hi Molette, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I fixed my own credit in 2013 when I wanted to buy a home. I quickly realized how good credit is an important factor. However, I was approved for my home but with a subprime mortgage loan the payment was unaffordable. I decided not to move forward with the loan and started working on my credit. I pulled my credit report and saw several errors and accounts that did not belong to me. I helped friends and family repair their credit at no charge and started to see a lot of success stories and that is when I decided to open a credit repair company in 2019.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Entrepreneurship is difficult but rewarding. I had a lot of struggles along the way because I was still working a full-time job. It was extremely hard balancing a full-time job that consisted of 70 hours a week and remain focused on launching my business. Some of my struggles was creating a social media presence and time management. Marketing is expensive when a business is new, I had to learn how to properly market and create ads on Facebook and Instagram that was affordable. Since I relied on social media finding my target audience was challenging. I had to think outside of the box to find customers and engage with my audience. Also, I wore a lot of hats when my business first started. I was the sales manager/closer, customer service representative, and much more. Time management-whew! I had to hire a team to continue to grow my business. I take pride in providing the best customer service and my clients are important to me! There is no way a business can grow and scale with one person doing all the tasks.
