Hi Morgan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today.
Simply the Best Bookkeeping & Business Solutions evolved from my love of numbers and desire to help small businesses. We pride ourselves at Simply the Best for our roofing and construction industry knowledge. We specialize in that because it’s what our background is in. I started out with a roofing company 7 years ago and rediscovered my passion for numbers then. It was a challenging environment that taught me much about how a business should and shouldn’t be run. I learned the type of manager/business owner I wanted to become and set out with an idea in mind and started reaching toward my goals. My biggest and smartest decision was getting set up with my business coach, she has taught me to believe in myself and helped me in reaching all the small goals that are setting me up for success.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
If anyone says starting a business is not a bumpy road, they are magical! LOL! It has been a learning process that has come with challenges. It’s absolutely terrifying to start a business, be responsible for others by providing jobs, and going out there and successfully signing clients. However, knowing others have done it, failed at it, but got back up and then crushed their goals is so inspiring.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Strongly suggest working with a business coach, I started with mine a year and a half before Simply the Best was even created. Networking has been the next best thing besides a coach, it has turned into our greatest asset for getting our name out there and obtaining clients. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there, if it doesn’t scare you, you’re probably not dreaming big enough. Sounds a bit cliche but it is true.
