Meet Myriah Sanders of MAJic Beauty Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myriah Sanders.

Hi Myriah, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Honestly, my journey started with my own skin issues. I struggled with breakouts and texture for years, and that’s what really sparked my interest in skincare. I wanted to understand how to take care of my skin — and eventually, how to help other people do the same.

After getting licensed, I worked for a company where I learned so much about client care, professionalism, and running a business day-to-day. I eventually moved into a management role there, which really opened my eyes to what it takes to build a strong team and keep clients happy.

After a while, I felt ready to take that next step and create something of my own — a space that reflects my passion for skin, self-care, and real results. That’s how my business was born. I started with waxing and facial services and have been growing ever since. My goal has always been to help people feel confident and comfortable in their own skin, because I know exactly what it’s like to be on the other side of that.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There’ve definitely been some ups and downs. The economy has been tough — everything from supplies to rent keeps going up, and as a small business owner, you really feel it. It can be hard trying to balance the cost of running things while still keeping prices fair for clients.

Another big challenge has been building my clientele. When you first start, it’s not easy — you’re trying to get your name out there, build trust, and show people what makes your services different. There were times it felt slow, but staying consistent and really taking care of the clients I did have made a huge difference.

Looking back, those challenges taught me a lot about patience, resilience, and the importance of showing up even when it’s hard. It’s all part of the process of growing a business from the ground up.

We’ve been impressed with MAJic Beauty Co., but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is all about helping people feel good in their own skin. I offer waxing and facial services, plus a few add-ons so we can really personalize each appointment to what your skin needs that day. Whether someone’s coming in for their regular wax or treating themselves to a facial, I want them to leave feeling confident, refreshed, and cared for.

What really sets me apart is the connection I build with my clients. I take the time to get to know them and their skin — it’s not just about the service, it’s about creating a comfortable experience from start to finish. I also love to share little skincare tips along the way so clients feel more confident taking care of their skin at home too.

I’m proud that my space feels welcoming and down-to-earth. It’s a calm, judgment-free zone where people can relax and just take a moment for themselves. When you book with me, you’re not just getting a service — you’re getting someone who truly cares about you and your skin.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I love most about my city is definitely the sense of community. People here really support local businesses, and that makes it such a rewarding place to run my own. I also love all the little things the city has to offer; great restaurants, fun events, and plenty of spots to get outside and recharge.

What I like least? Probably the traffic, sometimes it feels like everyone decided to drive at the same time! And the city can feel a little spread out, but honestly, that’s a small price to pay for all the things I love about living and working here.
