Today we’d like to introduce you to Naadia Crutchfield.
Naadia, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a 28-year-old corporate professional, hailing from the beautiful state of North Carolina. In 2015, I started blogging as a way to share my life experiences, fashion finds and beauty tips with women all over the world. During that time I followed my corporate job from the East Coast to the west coast and finally opted to call Dallas, Texas home.
Like many other women, I spent years trying to figure out what I wanted out of life, who I was and who I wanted to become. Somewhere along the way, I figured it out and my mission to encourage women all over the world was put into action!
I strive to encourage women to see beauty in the opportunities, challenges, and perks of being a woman. We as women have power and the more we share our stories with one another the more empowered we become. NaadiaCrutchfield.com is my open letter to encourage women through all phases of life to find their power.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The blogging industry has evolved so much since I first started and keeping up with all of the changes is always a challenge.
However, the biggest challenge for me has been transitioning my blog from a hobby to a business. Learning the in’s and out’s of contracts, hiring help, managing business finances and working with brands has all been a tremendous learning curve for me. But, like all things..you get better at it with time.
NaadiaCrutchfield.com – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My passion has always been to provide encouragement to others by reassuring them that they are not alone in whatever struggle they are facing.
When my readers come to my blog, they will undoubtedly find something that they can relate to.
Encouragement is my specialty and I am most proud when I receive messages from women letting me know that a social post or blog provided them with encouragement as they were navigating through a tough life experience.
That makes it all worth it.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
A few years ago I came across a definition of success by John Wooden that really resonated with me: “Success peace of mind, which is a direct result of self-satisfaction in knowing you did your best to become the best you are capable of becoming.”
When I am trying to gauge how successful I am being as a blogger the number one question I ask myself is, “do you feel good about what you are doing, are you proud of your work?”
