Today we’d like to introduce you to Naomi Moore.
Naomi, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I first launched my brand in June of 2019. I always knew I wanted to be business owner, I just wasn’t sure which product I wanted to brand and sell. I literally love to shop and I’ve always been this way because, as a child, my mama made sure that her kids stayed up to par. We stayed shopping almost every week. Even when times got hard, she made sure we had the nicest clothes, shoes, and hair stayed done, which made us feel great and larger than life. When I first started I honestly didn’t have the money to afford everything on hand, I was a “broke college student,” but I told my boyfriend that’s what I wanted to do. With the help of him and his mom, they invested and I got started. I promoted and hoped for the best and ever since then, I fell more in love with my brand. Today, I’m not even close to where I want to be. I want the “Luxe” brand to be an empire. My clientele has tripled since I began and I’ve started taking my business way more seriously. I look at it as my child. Recently, I’ve relocated to Atlanta, GA, in order to network and expand my brand further since I’ve reached my short term personal clientele goal in Texas.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road has been nowhere near smooth. I have had times where I sold nothing on day one of dropping new arrivals and days where I sold out on day one. I’ve struggled with consistency also due to being tied up in other aspects of my life. At one point, I lost everything and it felt like everyone had just turned and gave up on me. The only thing I had was Rich Luxe and my customer’s support. I was living off of that but I overcame. I think that’s why I go so hard behind my brand; it’s just apart of me. It is me.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Rich Luxe Urban Wear – what should we know?
I offer high-quality apparel, whether it be a club outfit, an airport outfit, or just some clothes to relax in for the day. My motto is: “Luxury style to compliment your crown.” This means everyone has a hypothetical crown, everyone should feel the highest of themselves. My products enhance this crown and make the person stand out and shine brighter.
What sets me apart from others is that when my customers wear my clothing, I want them to feel good about themselves, rich, happy. What I’m most proud of is the impact that I have on others. I have so many people reach out to me about how I got started and that makes me feel good because I just think “dang I’m absolutely nowhere where I want to be at all.” But those small questions and comments tell me to KEEP GOING & GO HARDER.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
The first person who ever actually invested in my business was Kenosha Kindle. She believed in me. This was my boyfriend at the time mother, to this day, she is my second mother. I was visiting her in Longview, TX, after just meeting her maybe a month prior. I just told her I want to start this business, she said well let me know if you need anything. I never responded because I never want to ask people for anything. Moments later, she sent me funds to go towards my business. It’s not even about the money; it’s about ONE PERSON just believing in me. But definitely, my customers have played a huge role, anyone, who supports me really. Whether it be a post on social media, a referral, a like, a comment. I don’t think people realize how far those small gestures go.
