Today we’d like to introduce you to Natalyn Suarez.
Hi Natalyn, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I felt a for a deep passion within the beauty community early on when I was 16 years old, I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup before untill the age of 16 (in 2018) , Make up for competition shows for color guard was a requirement and that’s where it all started. Later in 2023 when I was 20 I went to a beauty school , got better at my craft and got my certification for makeup artistry. Before I went to beauty school, I had a list of girls that I knew around me from school that I always looked up to. Till this day. Things haven’t changed. I still look up to them because they were the first people that introduced me to make up or taught me what I know today as well, and I am forever Grateful for that ( s/o to those girls you know who y’all are ) . and from there things took off.
Body sculpting & Permeant makeup later along side fell into a big passion of mine, being able to help other women achieve their body goals, while being able to implement holistic practices into place to achieve our desired goals to my clients.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
A huge obstacle that has been a big challenge in my life has been dealing with a skin condition called eczema. They are days where the flares can get bad and I don’t wanna do anything because it hurts but I can’t let this keep me from achieving my goals. While at that still being able to handle a business while still working a regular job & also still being a full time college student has not been easy. I’ve had to make sacrifices on certain things in order to be able to focus on the things that will impact me long term in a positive matter. I love the drive of being able to stay busy but knowing it’s going to work towards achieve my goals is what keeps me going. At the end of the day, if you stay committed, and just keep a tunnel vision of a clear picture of your goals. Trust me, it keeps you moving, no matter the obstacles that are in the way.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I specialize in makeup lip, blush, and body sculpting. Sculpting can branch out into alot of areas that you can focus on depending on what the goal is for each client, everyone has different goals, so therefore it varies but one thing that sets me apart from other body sculpting artist is that I implement holistic practices into my clients routine. With my skin condition of eczema, I became extremely knowledgeable about holistic practices and I have a deep passion of letting everyone know that there is a way and it always doesn’t have to be fixed with medication , I ask my clients in depth about what their every day life is, and slowly we start introducing Holistic remedies to be able to help achieve my clients goals while also incorporating a healthy lifestyle change in the process . With make up, I am a huge fan colors I think it brings a lot of joy to me while doing make up but also it brings out the most creative part of me. lip blush on the other hand it almost feels like I’m getting to draw on a canvas almost like those elementary books you get to color in and outline, it brings me peace and I’m thankful for every single client that has trusted and allowed me to do lip blush on them.
What were you like growing up?
I grew up in a traditional Mexican household. I have been athletic throughout my middle school and high school years and have always been very outgoing. If you would have told my teenage self that we would be running a business here today, she would probably not believe you, especially since it’s related to makeup -I was not allowed to wear make up but only mascara and lipgloss until I was 16. The 2016 era came around I was around 13 years old, and I always wondered whenever I was going to get to be that girl that got to wear a full face of make up with a cut crease or if I was ever going to ever learn how to do makeup. Until I did, little did I know – I became that girl but now not only just on me,but on other girls making them feel beautiful and like a baddie
Body sculpting came in later in my 20s as I started my fitness journey when I was 18 due to a medical condition I have called eczema , this condition affects my life deeply and it forced me to make adjustments in my everyday life for the long-term health of my body .I was intaking & learning more about the human body it was a huge hyper fixation for me because our body does amazing things every single day, later I found out about body sculpting & saw it had amazing benefits. I hyper fixated a little bit too hard – lol and now here I am. Being extremely happy to provide the service to other people. If it wasn’t for the lifestyle change I had to make within my fitness journey. I probably would not be doing body sculpting. I would not change a thing of how this journey has came to be.
