Hi Nazifa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
About a year ago, I was doom-scrolling on TikTok as I did most days, when I saw this really cool concept introduced in New York – a live perfume bar service at events. People walk up to the bar, try out different fragrances, and create their own little blend to take home with them. I thought to myself, “How cool!” and was surprised to find that this service did not exist in ALL OF TEXAS. I seized the opportunity and took it upon myself to bring this service to the Lone Star State itself. With that, the making of Fave the Day began. I did the R&D, created an online presence, and got a marketing team ready to promote the heck out of the service within our locality. Next thing you know, I had an outpour of interest from event planners to venues to clients themselves wanting to learn more about the service and booking us for their events. We’ve been in business for 6 months now and have been met with only happy returning customers and a growing referral network. I’m really excited as we expand and offer other unconventional, unique party experiences that are in the works!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I actually had my first baby right after launching Fave the Day so striking that balance between being a present mom while also growing the business has been the biggest challenge for me. I could not do any of this without the support of my husband, mom and the rest of my family. The saying is true – it takes a village! And I’m forever grateful for mine.
