Threading is my passion. I have been doing this since 2007. I have my own salon back in Nepal. I came to the United States in 2011 and started working in one of a local salon.Working there for around 2 years made me realize that there are many shortcomings of threading salons in the area. The main problem of the threading salons in the area was customer service. Another problem was pricing structure. Customers were being charged different prices for same kind of services. Male clients were charged more than their female counterparts although it is easy to do male’s threading. All of these shortcomings made me realize that I could absolutely make the difference in this business. And that was my greatest achievement to pursue my career as my only passion making my clients smile and more beautiful
Has it been a smooth road?
It was a challenge for me and my husband to come where we are today as an entrepreneur. Coming far away from my homeland, Nepal and establishing business here in 2 years is indeed not an easy thing to do. We had no idea about opening a business in the United States but I had my passion and my husband on side.
I started small in January 2014, renting a small suite and working part time. I gave my best to each and every customers and they grew rapidly. In little more than a year, I had an opportunity to lease a bigger space in the same complex where I was working. For the first 3 months into the bigger space, I was in loss because I had greater expenses on rents and utilities. Still we decided to hire an employee as we did not want our customers to wait for long time. Because of our good and faster customer service we managed to make profit after another three months or so.

Our specialization is Eyebrow Threading. In this procedure, technician will take out your unwanted hairs from your eyebrows, lips or any other part of a face and is five to fifteen minutes procedure. Besides threading we do all types of body waxing including but not limited to Hand, Leg, Bikini, Brazilian and Full Body Waxing. We also have various Ayurveda Herbal Facial services which will enhance your face making it more vibrant and radiant. Our other popular services also include Henna Tattoos (temporary tattoo made from plant extracts) and Eyebrow Tinting (darkens eyebrow making it look fuller)
We are known for our Eyebrow Threading because we opened our business for threading. As I have expertise on Facial, Waxing and other services, my clients insisted me to do those, and they love it. We are proud to say that all of our services are equally good and affordable as our threading services. We are different than all other salons in the area in our customer service and affordability and we are very proud of this.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex is a booming place so it has people from all over the world. The eyebrow threading salon owners are usually people from Middle East, and Asian countries like India, Nepal and Pakistan. They brought this tradition from their country and are making threading popular.
If you have understanding of opening a business and have expertise in eyebrow threading, then you can do this business. It can be done by anybody just like waxing and haircut, not only people from specific countries I mentioned. I would suggest people to open small and go bigger gradually so that you won’t risk all of your investments. First build up your clients in the particular area you chose and then go from there.
If you see someone being successful in an area, that does not mean you can do the same thing and be successful just like that. But if you have passion in this industry and work hard, you can be that person, why not?
