Today we’d like to introduce you to Nick Snyder.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Nick. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started playing guitar in 2013 and started playing professionally around Dallas in 2015. I was a senior in high school when I started playing, and I wasn’t too sure of what I was gonna do with my life, but music has been the answer to everything for me. I’ve met some of my best friends through music and gotten to do things I never dreamed of doing!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Playing music professionally is never a smooth road. You have to be able to roll with the punches, and there are a lot of them. It’s a relatively unstable and unpredictable lifestyle, but I like that.
Alright – so let’s talk about your band. Tell us about Nick Snyder & The Real Deal – what should we know?
My band is Nick Snyder & The Real Deal. We finished recording a 5 song EP in December 2018 at Valve Studios in Dallas, and plan on releasing it in early 2019. I would say we’re a rock band, but our music definitely has blues, hip hop, and funk influences. We really enjoy playing live and do it consistently during the week, so we’re always ready to smack you in the mouth with a hard-hitting, tight live show!
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Persistence. We do what we love because it makes us love what we do, but it still works and being successful in the music industry on any level requires a lot of persistence and patience
