Meet Nicole Delaney of SouthernG.U.R.L. Speaks in North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Delaney.

Nicole, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
SouthernG.U.R.L. Speaks is my platform based on transformation. I have a passion for inspiring other people to go through the process of their own transformation. I went through a dark time in my life as God was birthing my purpose inside of me. There were many habits, mind-sets and behaviors I had to assess within myself. What was keeping me from being my most authentic self?

After going through the process and doing the work to my own healing with Spiritual guidance, SouthernG.U.R.L. Speaks was born and I am now working in my purpose to inspire. My show SouthernG.U.R.L. Speaks, is a platform where I hight-light successful entrepreneurs and community members in hopes of Inspiring others by their story of coming into alignment with their purpose.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a easy road and some of the challenges I faced were within. I had to overcome fear and shyness. Once I saw myself how God sees me, I was empowered to share my gift of Inspiration with others. Our identity is how we see ourselves, which can impact the way we feel about ourselves and the way a person show up in the world. I want to empower people to be their most authentic self. I enjoy giving daily inspirational lives videos on Social Media and also using my podcast to motivate, empower, encourage, and inspire others. It’s my passion and it’s my God-given Purpose.

Please tell us about SouthernG.U.R.L. Speaks.
SouthernG.U.R.L. Speaks is a platform to provide a space for entrepreneurs to share their journey of transformation that led them to work in their gifting to inspire others with their story. Everyone has a story and everyone has a story that matters.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood was living in Germany for four years as a military brat. The exposure to another culture shaped my perspective as an adult. I also learned the pride of being an American and what that means to live on foreign soil. A favorite memory was when I was able to play softball against girls all over Europe in a softball tournament. As Americans, we tend to be arrogant when it comes to our talents. Those girls from Europe made us level-up in a different way. I realized  their playing softball was not a past-time as it was for us. It was  career, a means of  survival for their families. I was able to go to Berlin and also experience the privilege of going to West and East Berlin the year the wall came down. How historic is that!
