Today we’d like to introduce you to Nicole Muse.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Nicole. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
It started the last summer of middle school. My mother enrolled me in a summer job readiness program with the Texas Workforce. There I would learn how to write resumes and apply for jobs at age 15. I learned about different career paths and many job skills. Fast forward almost 15 years later; I found that I had a passion for helping others, especially when it came to finding out about who was hiring. I always kept up with the latest job trends and career advice. I found myself the go-to person to connect the community with top jobs in the area.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has not, My first passion right out of college was to work as a sociologist. I was that girl who always wanted to know why. I planned to finish my masters but work and life got in the way. Straight out of college at Grambling State University, I had job offers but not in my field of Sociology. I took a great paying sales job, then realized I needed to test the waters and work in my field. I knew I didnt want to be a sociologist anymore but I wanted to work with the public and be apart of changing lives and that started when I finally landed a job with the State government.
Please tell us about your business.
I am the Founder of Best DFW Jobs. It started in 2017. It is a go to the community to connect residents with jobs paying at least $15 per hour in the Dallas Fort Worth region. We offer resume writing services. Best DFW Jobs sources top candidates, especially for call center and customer service roles. We are most known for having the best DFW job group on social media, particularly Facebook. No spam very well moderated and job leads are the best. I am most proud that we continue to help connect the community with great jobs and career resources. We will continue to grow and transform our platform within the next year.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The best thing about the Dallas Fort Worth area is that it’s the home to many top headquarters bringing lots of sought after jobs to our community. Dallas has a strong job market. I would say my least favorite thing about the city is the traffic and long commutes to and from downtown Dallas.
