Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Darden.
Nikki, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
After I received my second Degree in Government/Legal Studies, I lost all interest in studying law. I started watching Youtube, which led to me starting my own channel.
Youtube made me realize my love for makeup, so I started my journey as a Makeup Artist and Beauty Blogger. Things blossomed so quickly for me. My clientele and subscribers grew instantly overnight. I’m blessed.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Anything worth having has obstacles, but this journey has been very smooth. I put my faith in God, and let him lead the way to my blessings.

Makeup by Platinum/ Platinum D is a Dallas Based Makeup Artist and Beauty Influencer. I love the world of skin care and beauty products and like to show other women how to achieve beautiful makeup looks, as well as excellent skin care products and routines. I have been a YouTube blogger now for over 5 years and have a following of over 250k subscribers across my social media interactions.
I have traveled to New York and Los Angeles on multiple occasions to attend Generation Beauty, The Makeup Show and Beauty Con. I have worked in close correspondence with companies that include Make Up For Ever, The Balm, Sedona Lace, Benefit, Ofra Cosmetics, Smashbox, Marc Jacobs Beauty, and BlackOpal, just to name a few.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from childhood was being a Daddy’s Girl. Every morning before school my dad gave me $2, and every day after school he greeted me with a forehead kiss… I’m still a Daddy’s girl by the way, lol.
