Today we’d like to introduce you to Nimidu Senaratne.
Nimidu, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
This is my dream comes true, I started very low and slow. Home base catering business was my first step after getting my domain and creating my own basic web site. Just above a year ago I decided to open up a To-Go place as a requests of my valuable clients. Few months later I was lucky to be in the Dallas Observer. We started getting very diverse client base after the article was published and interior was upgraded to a little dinning place as needed.
Fresh Juices are added recently as go alone with Fresh Healthy meal.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I gathered my knowledge in three different countries. Some days I didn’t have enough to take my meals or pay for the ride. Most of the time my part time job was washing dishes or cleaning rooms to make money to pay my tuition fees. I m so happy that I graduated from all the colleges I stared with.
Even after opening this small place, was very tough paying bills and wages on the very first few months. Passing one year successfully without lower down the quality of the food was my key point always. Finding good reliable team members was my other biggest concern. So far as a team of SpicyZest has done enough to hold goals and keep getting new clients to the business,
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about SpicyZest Restaurant – what should we know?

My wife Chamari Walliwalagedra (PhD) is my guider through out my entire life. She directed me to the right side always to make the most accurate decisions in this business. Also, Thilina Balassooriya is my back bone on the other side of this business. His dedication and loyalty is the great success of SpicyZest. And My entire SpicyZest team.
