Meet Norma Mena of Dallas, TX

Today we’d like to introduce you to Norma Mena

Hi Norma, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I give all credit to Jesus Christ—none of this would have been possible without Him. In 2020, during the COVID pandemic, we lost family members, which made me realize how short life is. That same year, I launched a notary and tax business, as well as a t-shirt line, while working full-time. In 2021, my husband and I both contracted COVID, and I lost my job due to our health struggles. This setback pushed me to fully focus on growing my businesses.

In 2022, I faced serious health issues, including three near-death experiences, which gave me a new perspective on life. After marrying my husband, I developed a deep passion for the true meaning of marriage. Through sickness, loss, and both good and bad times, I gained a strong understanding of couples, which led me to start officiating weddings.

This year, we also launched our women’s ministry, “Señoritas with Cristo,” in February 2024. In just eight months, God has opened many doors, allowing us to reach women from different states. Our ministry helps women grow closer to Jesus, holding Bible studies every other Saturday and sharing testimonies on our podcast, which covers personal stories, the journey to faith, and biblical teachings.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
We certainly faced challenges along the way. Job loss led to financial hardships, forcing us to deplete our savings, and at various times, we dealt with significant health issues. The years from 2020 to 2022 were especially difficult for us, but that’s also when I began to read my Bible and when my faith began.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As a Christian business owner, my focus is on providing personalized services that truly meet my clients’ needs. I genuinely care for them as individuals and strive to help in any way I can. Growing up in an immigrant household as the oldest, I learned many valuable lessons that shape the way I serve others.

Whether it’s through my notary, tax, wedding officiant or t-shirt business, I specialize in delivering exceptional customer service. It’s not just about the transaction; it’s about showing genuine care for each person. What sets me apart is the attention I give to every client—I ensure they feel valued and supported.

In my notary business, I offer both mobile and remote online services, handling general notary work as well as real estate notarizations and certified document translation with apostille. Additionally, I offer year-round tax services including to helping clients renew or apply for their ITIN as a CAA.

As a wedding officiant, my main focus is the couples vision for their wedding day. I create custom scripts for them and make sure that their ceremony has a perfect outcome!

The custom clothing is now Christian-based, including HTV, DTF and embroidery.

However, aside from business, what I’m most proud of is our women’s ministry, “Señoritas with Cristo”. It’s truly where my heart is. Seeing women come together to learn about the Bible, grow in their faith, and support each other through life’s challenges is incredibly rewarding. Building this community where we lift each other up has been a blessing, and it’s what I care about the most.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Now that I am fully devoted to Jesus Christ, I can’t say for certain what the future holds. What I do know is that I want to continue serving Him and sharing the Good News in different places, alongside my loving husband.
