Meet MVP Nysse of Varsity BPM in Ft. Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to MVP Nysse.

So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
This whole thing started as revenge. I didn’t like how myself when I was an artist or other artists base the success of their careers off of these money-hungry blog pages on Instagram… seemed like everyone was so dependent on the shit. I didn’t like how the most popular pages were so negative and oversaturated with the same content; pretty much mirroring each other while the real talent was being hidden. It started a trend that we are stuck in right now overlooking the true dopeness of the culture. The culture is so much bigger and colorful. I can’t give out the blueprint on how I started but a dope Instagram page was the first step. I stayed consistent and targeted the right people and I never gave up. I’ve said “I give up” a lot of times but I never acted on it.

Has it been a smooth road?
Nothing about this is smooth. It looks smooth on the outside my shit glows most definitely but it’s not easy. The biggest struggle is keeping your team solid.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Varsity BPM story. Tell us more about it.
Varsity BPM is a music network, a service to the community, a school, safe house and future empire. We provide one-stop-shop services at our physical location like a recording studio, photography and videography studio, graphic design, creative space and venue… damn near everything all in 2,000 square ft in my home town here in Da Funk.

I’m known for management, artist development, being a former artist, my concert photography now and just being an influencer in the DFW, Atlanta and Fayetteville, NC. I’m also a disabled combat veteran. I served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. I’m proud that we’re making an impact by being natural selves and not following trends, that way things are timeless on our side. We’re just different you’d have to experience us and build your own perception to determine how we’re different from the rest.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
It’s a secret to where we’ll be… I don’t like to speak much on my plans but it will be something big, as big as I can make it.
