Today we’d like to introduce you to Jonathan Robert.
Jonathan, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in Oregon and started working with my dad at age six, going along to job sites and learning the ropes of the construction world and home building. I came from a long family line of builders and have been passionate for design and building my whole life. I started co-managing my family’s building company before moving to Dallas, and started working for another General Contractor & also worked in commercial construction. My wife and I decided that it was time to start my own remodeling business, and that’s how Oak Remodeling Co. was born two years ago.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, I think in all start up businesses the road is rarely ever smooth. There have been many unknowns, risky decisions, difficult learning experiences, but it has always given us the opportunity to grow and become a stronger company. Some people think failure is a weakness, but I see it as an opportunity to grow and become the best at my job. We are continually evolving into a home improvement business that not only excels at excellent workmanship, but also provides an experience to our clients, that exceeds their expectations in a Home Builder/Remodeling company.

Oak Remodeling Co is a full service residential design-build remodeling company that includes an architect, interior designer, & the builder. We pride ourselves on excellent communication, organization, and budgeting, the keys to making the remodel process a success. We are constantly evolving to provide the best type of services to Home Owners in the Dallas area. I believe what sets us apart to other Remodeling companies, is that we help you from start to finish. We take the clients vision, to blue prints, working with an interior designer, to building your dream home!
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
My beautiful wife, Jennifer Scoggins Robért, deserves so much of the credit to our success. From the very beginning, she was my biggest advocate, cheerleader, and the one who spoke life into me, to run after my dreams. She believed in me, even when I doubted myself. Without her support and love, I would have never taken that first risky step, into the unknown and start my business. Our families and friends were huge supporters and were some of our very first clients. They believed in Jennifer and I, even though they knew starting a business is difficult, emotionally and financially while starting to grow our family. Our spiritual mentors, business consultant, and life coach, gave us the courage and insight to keep pushing forward and grow through the difficult times that come with being and entrepreneur and business owner.
