Meet Jennifer Eitches of One Lagree in Highland Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Eitches.

Jennifer, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
When I lived in LA, I was a regular at Sebastian Lagree’s first location which he then called Pilates Plus. Over the last decade, he has evolved his machine and work out and I wanted to open up a studio that only followed his Lagree method. I’ve noticed that many of the licensees open studios with a hybrid of something else.

It makes sense since he started off as a hybrid of Pilates, but the method has evolved so much I wanted to give people an opportunity to know exactly what he’s created. Two Years ago I moved to Dallas and I decided to open up this type of studio. There’s nothing more in life that makes me happier than being around people all day who are into fitness and living a healthy lifestyle.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Honestly, it’s been really smooth and I credit that to the wonderful team we have.

One Lagree – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
We offer Lagree Fitness classes on a machine called a Megaformer M3. Like traditional pilates reformers, the Megaformer M3 has a moveable carriage, straps, and pulleys, and is adjusted with springs of different tension. The Megaformer has a longer stride attached to its carriage and bars off both the front and back platforms. The long carriage travel modification makes it more versatile for standing exercises and allows both a push and pull effect for training. The use of the springs is the key to the safety and efficiency of Lagree Fitness workouts.

Given that the training is moving muscles both in a positive and negative direction, elongating the muscle, you will see increased movement around your joints. I am most proud of the people that teach at the studio and the clientele that comes in. I can’t speak for any other studio, but all I know is everyone that comes in is such a pleasure to be around. Watching everyone push themselves and getting stronger each week is really inspiring

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success for me is having individual clients achieve their fitness goals through taking our classes. When they recognize their success and share it with us, we feel we have a purpose. If we can do this on a larger scale we will achieve our ultimate goals.
