Meet Pablo Villarreal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Pablo Villarreal.

So, before we jump into specific questions about what you do, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Well, it all started when I found my passion for music around the time I was 13 when I heard J Cole for the very first time. I started listening to more and more Hip-Hop until I started reverse engineering music myself. I then went to be a ghost-writer for a label here in Dallas. It was all going well until I had the itch to create my own music but was never given the chance. Finally, I decided to leave the label and start my own thing. Now, we are here.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It most definitely has not been a smooth road. I have faced my fair share of struggles. One of my biggest hurdles has been family. Because I am Mexican, Hip-Hop music is not something that is easily accepted into my old-fashioned family, especially as a career choice. Luckily, it was not my immediate family that put this on my shoulders. Another challenge that I have faced is finding who I am as an artist. Finding your “sound” is one of the most difficult things you can do as an artist, especially in this over-saturated market.

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a music artist, and I am most proud of where I have gotten by myself.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
The proudest moment of my career so far has been being verified as an official music artist on Spotify and YouTube.
