Today we’d like to introduce you to Paloma & Wesley Elliott.
Hi Paloma & Wesley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Our story begins with two people whose paths aligned through a shared calling to serve. Both of us had gone through our own deep personal transformations, and we felt moved to create a place where others could experience the same kind of growth in a safe and supportive environment. That intention became the foundation of Ahó Healing Arts.
From the start, our purpose has been to hold space for people to reconnect with themselves. We wanted to build a community space where anyone can pause, breathe, learn, and experience their own healing in a way that feels natural and grounded. Everything we do is centered on creating safety, presence, and genuine human connection.
As our work evolved, we developed Transpersonal Somatic Therapy®. This modality grew from our combined experience with bodywork, emotional processing, energetic awareness, and intuitive guidance. It is designed to support the whole person by helping them release what weighs them down while reconnecting with the remembrance of who they are on a soul level. Instead of treating people as a collection of symptoms, Transpersonal Somatic Therapy® honors the mind, body, heart, and spirit as one interconnected experience.
Today, Ahó Healing Arts has become a welcoming home for individuals seeking clarity, emotional freedom, and personal transformation. We do not claim to heal anyone. We simply hold a safe and sacred space where healing can naturally unfold. Our mission is to make growth accessible and to offer our community a place where they can feel supported, seen, and empowered on their path forward.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has not been completely smooth, but every challenge has shaped us. When we opened Aho Healing Arts, it was just the two of us. We were a husband and wife team raising kids, managing school schedules, hosting events, and running every part of the business on our own. There was no team behind the scenes. We were our own marketing agency, social media manager, web designer, front desk support, janitorial staff, service provider, event coordinator, and inventory manager.
Balancing family life with a growing mission was one of the hardest parts. We learned quickly that creating a healing space for others required us to become even more intentional with our own communication, rest, and boundaries. Some days we would be setting up for a class while helping with homework. Other days we would be creating content or answering messages late at night after the kids were asleep.
Navigating city permits, designing the space from scratch, refining our offerings, and figuring out how to explain our work in a way people could easily understand were major learning curves. Marketing has definitely been the most challenging area. We are passionate about what we do, but translating that passion into clear messaging and visibility took a lot of trial and error. We had to grow into our voice as a business while staying true to our values.
Despite the challenges, the process has been meaningful. Every obstacle strengthened our partnership. Every long day reminded us why we started. And every person who walks through our doors shows us that the effort has been worth it. We are still evolving, but we are proud of the foundation we have built and the community we are continuing to nurture.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Ahó Healing Arts, we hold space for people to reconnect with themselves. Our work centers around emotional wellness, nervous system support, and creating a safe environment where people can process, release, and grow at their own pace. Everything we offer is designed to meet the whole person rather than only their symptoms.
Our business has several parts that all work together to support this mission. We have a retail store filled with holistic products that encourage self care and intentional living. We have a private clinic where we offer one on one sessions. We also have an event space where we host community gatherings, classes, ceremonies, and sound journeys. In addition, we provide corporate wellness experiences for companies looking to support the emotional and mental well being of their teams.
Together, we specialize in a modality we created called Transpersonal Somatic Therapy®. TST® blends bodywork, breath, emotional processing, intuitive guidance, and spiritual remembrance. It helps people understand what their body is holding, why certain patterns repeat, and how to shift their internal landscape in a real and sustainable way. Because it works on both the physical and emotional levels at the same time, people often experience significant breakthroughs in a single session. Many describe it as the first time they truly understood themselves on a deeper level.
One of the most important aspects of our work is community. At Aho Healing Arts, people can participate in men’s and women’s circles, workshops, educational programs, and group healing experiences. We intentionally designed our space to feel calm, welcoming, and safe for anyone who enters. Our goal is for people to feel comfortable being themselves, without pressure or expectation.
What we are most proud of is the atmosphere we have created. Time and time again, people tell us that the moment they walk in, they feel at ease. They feel seen. They feel like they can finally breathe. Creating that feeling is at the heart of everything we do.
What sets us apart is the combination of our lived experience, our partnership, and the depth of our work. We are a married team who has walked through our own transformation, and that allows us to hold space with authenticity, compassion, and real understanding. We do not approach this as theory. We approach it as people who have lived through the process ourselves.
We are also committed to making this work approachable. You do not need to be spiritual or familiar with wellness to feel comfortable with us. We meet people exactly where they are and guide them with honesty, humility, and respect.
Our mission is simple. Create a space where people feel safe, supported, and inspired to grow. Whether someone comes for a product, a private session, a class, or a corporate wellness experience, our intention is always the same. Support their journey with integrity and heart.
What’s next?
Our future plans are centered on expanding the impact of Ahó Healing Arts and continuing to make this work accessible to more people. One of our main focuses is growing Transpersonal Somatic Therapy®. We are currently developing trainings and certification programs so that other practitioners can learn this modality and bring it into their own communities. We believe TST® has the potential to change the way emotional and somatic work is approached, and we feel called to share it on a larger scale.
We are also planning to grow our community offerings. This includes more classes, more circles, and more educational programs that help people understand their emotional and energetic health in simple and practical ways. Our hope is to create a space where people can continue growing long term, not just in single moments.
Another major focus is expanding our corporate wellness programs. Companies are beginning to recognize that emotional well being and stress regulation are essential for healthy work environments. We are developing offerings that support teams, reduce burnout, improve communication, and help employees connect with themselves in a way that carries into their professional and personal lives. Bringing this work into workplaces is a big part of our upcoming growth.
In addition, we are looking forward to developing more partnerships with local organizations, schools, wellness professionals, and community leaders who are committed to emotional well being and conscious living. Collaboration is an important part of our future.
Most of all, we are planning to continue evolving as individuals and as a married team. Everything we offer comes from our own growth, our commitment to this path, and our belief that safe spaces for emotional and spiritual exploration are needed now more than ever.
Big changes are on the horizon, but our purpose stays the same. Serve with integrity. Hold space with love. And help create a community where people feel supported in becoming the most authentic version of themselves.
