Today we’d like to introduce you to Patrice Wheeler.
Patrice, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Meet Patrice Wheeler – also known as Rosie Red the Realtor
What started as a passion for fashion turned into a full-blown business when Patrice Wheeler launched Rosie Red Boutique—a bold and stylish brand created to empower women to feel confident, beautiful, and seen. Known for her eye for fashion and her love for community, Patrice built her boutique around the belief that when you look good, you feel good—and when you feel good, you can conquer anything.
But Rosie didn’t stop there.
With over 17 years of experience in the mortgage and finance industry, Patrice eventually felt called to expand her impact and help people not just look the part, but live the life they deserve. That calling led her to real estate, where she now operates as Rosie Red the Realtor—serving the DFW and East Texas areas with heart, hustle, and integrity. From fashion to front doors, Patrice’s mission has always been the same: to uplift, empower, and open doors—literally and figuratively.
Whether she’s helping a first-time homebuyer find their dream home or styling someone in her boutique’s latest collection, Patrice is all about creating spaces—physical and emotional—where people feel valued, inspired, and unstoppable.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
For Patrice Wheeler, better known as Rosie Red, entrepreneurship was never about looking glamorous—it was about survival, purpose, and pushing past every obstacle life threw her way.
She launched Rosie Red Boutique to give women a space to feel beautiful, bold, and empowered through fashion. But running a boutique—especially in an unpredictable economy—hasn’t been easy. Between fluctuating inventory costs, rising supplier prices, shipping delays, and inflation affecting how people spend, Patrice has had to be resourceful and resilient. “There were seasons where I was pouring in more than I was making, but I refused to give up,” she shares. “This wasn’t just a business; it was a movement.”
At the same time, Patrice leaned into her 17+ years of experience in mortgage and finance, transitioning into real estate and becoming Rosie Red the Realtor. Helping clients—especially first-time buyers and underserved families—build wealth through homeownership quickly became her new mission. But the real estate world came with its own challenges: unstable interest rates, limited inventory, competitive markets, and the emotional toll of deals falling apart. “People think real estate is just showing houses, but it’s so much deeper. You’re guiding folks through one of the biggest decisions of their life, and sometimes, you don’t see a paycheck for months,” she says.
Balancing two businesses in today’s economy is no small task. Patrice wears many hats—boutique owner, real estate agent, entrepreneur, mentor, and community advocate. “Some days I’m dropping off packages, negotiating deals, managing deadlines, and still trying to show up for myself in the middle of it all,” she says. “There’s no one picking up the slack—it’s just me, my hustle, and God. But I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
Despite the grind, Patrice makes it a priority to pour back into her community. Whether she’s mentoring youth, volunteering at local events, or hosting seminars to educate others on credit, homeownership, and entrepreneurship, giving back is at the core of everything she does. “If I’m not reaching back to lift someone else up, I’m not walking in my purpose.”
Through it all, Rosie Red continues to inspire others—proving that you can build your own table, wear your crown boldly, and open doors for others while walking through your own.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What do you do?
I’m Patrice Wheeler—better known as Rosie Red. I’m a real estate agent, boutique owner, and community advocate based in the DFW and East Texas areas. I help first-time homebuyers, growing families, and individuals build generational wealth through homeownership, while also running Rosie Red Boutique, where I empower women to feel confident and bold through fashion.
What do you specialize in?
In real estate, I specialize in residential sales, first-time homebuyers, and affordable housing programs like NACA and down payment assistance. I also guide clients through leasing, selling, and navigating credit or financial obstacles. In fashion, I specialize in statement pieces for women of all sizes that make them feel seen and celebrated.
What are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of the impact I’ve had on people’s lives—whether it’s handing someone their first set of house keys, seeing a customer light up in one of my boutique outfits, or mentoring a young girl who didn’t think she had a voice. I’ve built everything from the ground up, and being able to stay true to who I am while lifting others along the way is my biggest accomplishment.
What sets you apart?
What sets me apart is that I lead with heart, faith, and realness. I don’t just sell homes or clothes—I build relationships. I meet people where they are, whether they’re just dreaming of homeownership or rebuilding their confidence after a setback. I’ve lived through struggle, worked hard for every opportunity, and still find time to give back. Everything I do is purpose-driven—and that’s what makes it personal.
What’s next?
What are your plans for the future? What are you looking forward to and planning for?
Looking ahead, I’m focused on expanding my impact in both real estate and entrepreneurship. My main goal is to close more deals, but not just for the sake of numbers—for the sake of helping more families walk into homes they never thought they could afford. I want to be the go-to resource for first-time buyers, single parents, and anyone who’s ever been told “no” when it comes to owning property. Helping people turn their “someday” into “right now” is what drives me.
I’m also working on building deeper relationships within my community—with lenders, builders, and other professionals—so I can continue to offer my clients real solutions and real support. Relationships are everything in this business, and I pride myself on being someone people can trust, lean on, and refer.
On the boutique side, I’m looking forward to growing Rosie Red Boutique with new collections, more community events, and creative campaigns that celebrate real women. I see fashion and real estate as tools to empower—so I’ll keep using both to help others elevate.
Long-term, I plan to expand into investment properties, host larger homebuyer seminars, and eventually develop a mentorship program for young women who want to become entrepreneurs or real estate professionals. I’m building a legacy—not just a career. I want everything I touch to inspire growth, confidence, and ownership.
