Meet Paula-faith Ewers of Truly Ewers Events in Design District

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paula-faith Ewers.

Paula-faith, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Oh, the JOYS of discovering your true gift in this thing we call life! First, let me say, I LOVEEEEEEE what I do – event planning is not just a profession but my PASSION! As I am the youngest of six, I have been instrumental in planning and designing events and quickly became the self-proclaimed family party planner. Starting with a baby shower for my sister’s first child to my first wedding of 125 people.

The confidence that I had on my first wedding day was unlike any other. Having a bride entrust her BIG day to a newbie blew my mind. I told her that she owes me nothing but the experience of being a part of her special day. I attended every meeting and listened closely to her heart and not her emotion on every matter. I was the mouthpiece for her every concern and the buffer on issues that she had no clue on how to navigate.

When her guests began to leave the wedding, I was overwhelmed with all the praise and compliments of how beautiful the day went. Needless to say, that couple was the first to invest in my dream, and I never looked back since. I found my love for the industry, even more, when I moved to Dallas, Texas.

As they say, everything is bigger in Texas, and I love serving each and every one of my brides, vendors, and industry friends. Waxahachie, TX to Frisco, TX my heart lies on assisting every client by paying attention to the details so that you can FOCUS on the bigger picture.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
A journey teaches you a lot about your destination. I have experienced the best of days and some questionable thoughts as to why I still wanted to be a business owner. In the beginning, I felt the need to know all the answers. As I continued to grow, I realized that I needed to find my tribe — a safe place where I can be vulnerable and feel comfortable without having all the answers.

Step after step, my community began to form and I knew who I could trust. To this day, I give them the utmost respect for being open and not competitive. The biggest struggle is getting out of the way of yourself. Once you can handle you, everything else falls in place.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My experience working in the industry for more than seven years has made me an expert in planning upscale, intimate events for 10 to lavish grand affairs for over 200 plus guests. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work for people with diverse backgrounds and various cultures. I am not just your certified event planner. In fact, I am your support system, your guide and your advocate. I will be there to lead you every step of the way – from the beginning of your vision up until the very last person leaves your event.

We absorb all event planning woes you have so you can focus on what’s truly important – enjoying this memorable event with family and friends.  We service weddings, engagement proposals, vow renewals, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, baby showers, business marketing releases and so much more.

We have an eye for detail, precision, and originality. We choose quality over quantity which gives you a concierge feel.”

What were you like growing up?
HA! As a child, I was always inquisitive and talkative! At times my mouth got me in trouble because it was quick and sharp. I exuded confidence and loved making friends. You were my friend until you got the same trapper keeper. I loved standing apart from those around me. Little Paula was a trip!
