Meet Portia Johnson of Cachet Caress

Today we’d like to introduce you to Portia Johnson.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Growing up as a kid, I always remembered that when someone asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would say ” I want to be successful.” The younger version of me was unaware of the how but, I knew in my spirit that success was in my corner. I quickly realize that my talents were not singing, dancing or anything athletic. So, I decided to focus on thinking deeper about my purpose. Born and raised in Chicago, IL I’ve always had the support of my grandmother. My parents at the time were battling with their own life lessons.

Growing up my grandmother always told me that purpose was something that can’t be lost and that it can’t leave you. She taught me that your purpose gave birth to you. It’s about who you are that brings joy and makes you happy. Your purpose may not serve you in money, but it can serve others. As I got older purpose was what I was seeking, and I quickly realize that I loved two things speaking and shoes (heels to be exact). My grandmother would tell me that I had an expensive taste not being aware of what that meant until later, but I quickly paid attention to what made me happy.

I moved to Dallas, Tx in 2013, connecting and networking with the right individuals lead me in the right direction of my purpose the world of entrepreneurship. Speaking in front of a crowd with 20 people, sharing and educating minds to lead me to speak in front of bigger crowds with 100 – 500 people. This leads me to have my own Facebook live show called “Millennial Power Couples ” which focuses on young married couples and their advice to obtain a healthy relationship. Later I announced my shoe stylist company Cachet Caress where I assist women with finding the right shoe for their foot. I shop for or shop with women in their budget range to find their perfect style shoe.

Now, that I am aware of my purpose my next goals are to continue to inspire the importance of living in your purpose while walking in style (heels of course). I have not yet reached my pinnacle, but I’m on my way because I understand that no one determines the success of my life. I have complete control, and I’m creating the future that I want.

Has it been a smooth road?
Of course, there are struggles in business. Some of the struggles along the away was a belief (self-doubt) , time management and guidance.

My business name is Cachet Caress. I’m a shoe stylist, talk show host, and energy consultant. My role is to inform and educate. I am known for teaching women/girls how to walk their journey in style. I can teach women how to walk in heels, guide you into finding your purpose and help you create additional income. I am most proud of the fact that I can help other people along the way. What sets me apart from others is my willingness to persist.

What I love best about Dallas is the endless amount of opportunities.
