Hi Preston, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Pure Vizion started while I was working at a local grocery store. A vendor employee needed someone to video record his wedding, so I captured their big moment. From there I started the business, my wife came up with the name. Pure Vizion with a Z, not an S. I graduated from the Art Institute of Dallas, work as a full time AV technician with PSAV/Encore, and now as an home educator. My business is not my full time job, but it allows me to be creative. When I first started PV, it was only videography. Today PV is videography, photography, DJ, AV tech, & more. A one man shop.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been rough. This business is more of a side hustle than anything. When people ask me do I know how to do something, most of the time I say yes. I was able to work on the skills working within local churches & my kid’s school.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Pure Vizion, God given vision to be pure. PV is a one operator/own company. I focus on videography, photography, AV technician, DJ, computer hardware, & more. PV is known for a Godly man behind a camera. The people also know PV is always making people happy.
What matters most to you?
What matters to Preston is making sure his customers are satisfied with their event. I’m old school when it comes to the customer is always right. I don’t get enough customers, but when I do, I treat them like they are the only one customer I have. The next thing that matters is having the best gear. If I don’t invest in good gear, then the outcome won’t be great. I don’t own top line gear, but I do a lot of research before I buy something that would benefit from in the future.
Pricing:
- $200 an hour for videography & photography
- $100 an hour for DJ
- $55 an hour for AV technician events
