Meet Priscilla Trevino of Perfectly Timed Events

Today we’d like to introduce you to Priscilla Trevino.

Hi Priscilla, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers?
I grew up wanting to be an event planner of some kind. I always enjoyed the holidays, gatherings, planning celebrations – and cared about every detail going exactly right – even at a young age. I started doing events for kids right out of college and got a job in Corporate America. One year I threw a company-wide picnic and it went so well that a friend of mine told me I should open an event company. That led to me hosting a Great Gatsby-themed birthday party – and now, years later, here we are today.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Life certainly has its struggles – both professionally and personally – but you always learn to get through it and to learn from it. Looking back now from where we are today, I’m so grateful for those years of growth and the daily lessons I continue to learn along the way. There were so many months where I wondered what was next and if my dream of owning my own event company would ever become a reality. But during those seasons I learned self-discipline to keep going when it got hard, I learned just how little I could live off of to make my business work, and I learned the lesson that bad contracts lead you to creating good contracts. I also learned a phrase that has kept me going during the most difficult seasons: “You are capable.” You are. I am. We are. We can do anything we set our hearts and minds to do – anything we are willing to sacrifice for. And today, I can promise you, that every sacrifice made for something you love is worth it.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Perfectly Timed Events?
Perfectly Timed Events is a high-end event planning service – but what sets us apart from other event planners is the genuine care we have for our clients and our extraordinary attention to every detail. We are not just a corporate business – we really care. Our clients always rave about the smallest details that make every party better. When choosing napkins we pay attention to the color, material, and print. Something that we would use to wipe food off of our faces and throw into the garbage gets an extraordinary amount of attention because the small details are what make the biggest difference. With nearly a decade of coordinating corporate, governmental, wedding, non-profit, family, and city-wide celebrations – we have become excellent at handling all aspects of any event, both large and small. But what I’m most proud of, is that at the heart of our company, is a desire to give back. We’re grateful that since we founded PTE, we’ve been able to give over 10% of all company proceeds to the non-profit and philanthropic endeavors we support both here in our Dallas community and globally.

In terms of your work and the industry, what are some of the changes you are expecting to see over the next five to ten years?
I see us only continuing to grow – in the size of our events and the number of employees on staff, clients we serve, and events we get to host. Our team becomes more intricate about covering every detail after each event, and that makes us better for the next one. We are always learning, always growing – and as long as our team continues to show up, work hard, and be faithful in the smallest details – I believe there is no cap for the success of Perfectly Timed Events. It makes me confident in our work to know we have so many repeat clients who will hire us for more than one event a year. Nothing is more satisfying than having a client be so happy with their party that they only want to work with us.

We’re happy to plan any event – big or small. From family celebrations to corporate events, non-profit galas to weddings and birthday parties. We’re here to make your dreams come true.
