Meet Priya Bhola Rathod in North Dallas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Priya Bhola Rathod.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In terms of my current position at Indeed, I’ve been promoted to a National Account Manager position. My focus is still very much to support and empower women and to remind them that self-care is extremely important. As I work full time and am very much focused on being a present mom to Aria & Anya, it doesn’t leave as much time as I would like to pursue this passion. I put a lot of my content into my Instagram account (https://www.instagram.com/priyabr/?hl=en) where I hope to inspire women, but also “keep it real” and let them know that things aren’t always as perfect as they seem on social media. I am on the board of YPO Dallas as a spouse forum officer. I am also really involved in Friscovania (put on by the women of Model Behaviors) which this year will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Dallas (http://friscovania.com).

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has definitely not been a smooth road! I was not that person who knew what I wanted to do at a young age, knew my “purpose.” That is something I am still actively trying to figure out. I know I want to set a good example for my daughters, and to support girls and women globally, but am still working out what that will look like long term. It, and I, am a work in progress.

Also I want to instill confidence in girls and women (especially my daughters) as early as possible. Confidence and self-worth were things I learned too late in life, and if I can help girls develop that sooner it would be such an honor.

Some of my struggles included 1) not knowing what I wanted to do with my life 2) figuring out my purpose in this world 3) confidence 4) how to make my passion my career – this is something I am still working through but am committed to doing it. I am someone who needs to pursue creative endeavors to feel whole so that will always be a part of my life.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Priya Bhola Rathod – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Rather than a company I am my own brand. I believe I’m known for:
1) authenticity
2) inspiration (I feel silly writing that b/c I don’t feel like I am an inspiration, but people tell me this)
3) being relatable
4) motivational
5) self-care
6) empowering women

I believe what sets me apart is my authenticity and vulnerability. What I am most proud of is helping other women through sharing my stories and sharing theirs.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am very focused on creating a platform that helps women. I know that sounds very general 😉 but that is because I am still working out what it would look like and what it would be.

I would like to start a blog (with all my free time) that helps expand on the topics I cover on Instagram, and is a place where I can share more content.
