So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I decided to establish my cigar mobile business to share my love for cigars and wine with those that feel time doesn’t allow them to go into cigar lounges often by coming directly to them. I remember my friends would always ask me to bring cigars over for parties and different events and found myself answering questions about how to cut and light cigars, smoke cigars, and how to properly store cigars, and the difference between the types of tobacco leaves that make up a cigar. A light bulb went off and I immediately decided that I should create a business for those that are interested in cigars, with limited time, but not necessarily wanting to go to a lounge, rather a unique setting to experience a great cigar and wine in a setting they feel most comfortable.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Getting the product was essentially simple, Getting the brand name out into DFW metroplex has been a challenge. There are a lot of established cigar lounges out here, so properly planning to set my brand apart from others has been a process, but I’m glad I’m doing it the right way because I will be around for a long time.
The Lounge on the Ave: Mobile Premium Cigar and Wine Co. – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’ll give an example, you have food catering companies that come out to do events. My company, does the exact same thing, just without the food. We cater premium cigars and wine to any type of event. Personal, business, celebrations, sports, you name it!!
I am most proud of the reaction I’ve gotten from total strangers in person and on social media. A lot of people are excited about what we are bringing to DFW metroplex.
What we do different is not just the sale of cigars, we actually bring an experience to events. We cater to beginners and experienced cigar enthusiast alike. We provide servers, and a cigar concierge, We introduce and instruct on how to choose, smoke, and pair your cigar with a great beverage. Menus are served as if it were a food selection so that all guest know a little about what they will experience during their time at the event.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Finally opening up a business that I love and can call my own.
