Meet Randi Símone

Today we’d like to introduce you to Randi Símone.

Randi, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am originally from St. Louis, MO & have been residing in Texas for a little over five years.

In addition to blogging, I work & go to school full-time. I also volunteer my time to multiple organizations, including but, not limited to: Big Brothers Big Sisters Lone Star, Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support, and Concord Church. I am a member of the National Black MBA Association – Dallas Fort Worth Chapter, in which I have recently stepped into a position with one of the several committees our chapter has.

Símone B’n Free is a lifestyle blog I launched on January 1 of this year. I wanted a place to share my love of travel, literature, food, the arts & more.

I’ve never blogged before so, it’s definitely been a learning experience. I have an amazing support system that includes bloggers & other creatives who have without a doubt helped this blog prosper in its first year.
Blogging is definitely like having another job, I just don’t get paid for the work I put in… YET!!!

Has it been a smooth road?
Planning my posts has been the biggest challenge. As you can see, I have a pretty busy life so, I’ve learned that scheduling multiple posts at one time is essential to keeping my supporters/readers engaged with consistent content.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Símone B’n Free – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
As a lifestyle blogger, I think that what sets me apart from a lot of bloggers is that I try to build a personal connection with my readers. While great pictures with perfected angles & lighting can pull in more viewers, the content they can relate to will keep them around. I’m an everyday woman who works, travels, learns & more and, I like to share those experiences on a relatable level,

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
What I like most about Dallas is how much there is to do on any day at any time of the day. If ever a person is bored, it’s simply because they haven’t attempted to find anything to do.

What I like least is the fact that my closest friends aren’t here. While I do have a few friends here, I’m homesick often, since most of my close friends still reside in my hometown.
