Today we’d like to introduce you to Ravyn Rochelle.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Ravyn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, it got pretty boring after I graduated from school with my associates in Business Marketing. I was working 7 days a week to save up enough money to move to Dallas with my cousin. When I finally got the money, I moved as fast as possible. I just knew there was more life outside of my hometown and I wanted to explore it. When I first got here, I was bartending and doing bottle service occasionally until that got old and wanted to do something more exciting, something my heart has always wanted to do. Act and Model. I got an interview with Kim Dawson and signed to my first agency in February 2018 and have been with them since, going out on auditions I booked my first commercial in the summer of 2018 and my first stage plays a few months ago. I have been working on my modeling by networking with a few local photographers and building my IG up has been going amazing. My following has gained me a lot of opportunities that I continue to work on. I’m fortunate to say I have the ability and chance to move to Los Angeles in the next month and I’m so excited to continue this journey.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing has been easy, im still learning and growing and the difficult part sometimes was not knowing what I was going to do next and if I really had the confidence and ability to move forward. In this day and age im constantly comparing and doubting myself, but I’ve realized that’s probably the worst thing you can do. I have been working on my mental health for some time now, just trying to control the voices in my head that say I can’t. I spend a lot of time alone, reading, just always trying to expand my mind and knowledge and it has helped tremendously. Staying close to God and keeping my faith strong is what’s really kept me going. Not to mention my few close friends and family that always push me.
Please tell us about your work.
What I really like to do is work with other people. If I could help another company with my modeling brand and promoting, I would love to – especially if I like the company’s vision and morals. My major is also in business marketing, so I have a skill in advertising and networking. I’m a very understanding person and see the potential in almost everything. That allows me to communicate and relate on a deeper level vs. some models and brands who just do it for the revenue.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If there was one thing I could’ve done differently, it would be giving it my all, my 100% effort from the very beginning. Ignoring the hate, the doubt, and just being sure in myself. But you know, it is never too late to start or do anything. I am putting my soul and spirit into what I do so im not that upset. I believe everything happens for a reason.
