Hi Remberto, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
My story is a bit different from others when it comes to my career. I started working at discount tire, auto zone, and Cadillac before I started my journey in construction. It was until 2020, when the pandemic started affecting jobs, that I got laid off after being in the electrical trade for 3 years. This put me in a position where I chose to either look for another job or start my general contractor company. I knew guys and crews who could get these certain jobs done, and I could land these jobs where my guys could make some money, and I could also profit for myself. Fast forward to 2023, I’ve learned so much and made some great connections that have allowed me to keep growing my business, and I’m thankful for my clients that have recommended me as a contractor to other people.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I started this by myself and to this day still by myself only. I advertise land jobs, work with sub-contractors, do payroll, and all day-to-day operations on my own. It gets a bit frustrating at times when I’m busy working on a job, and I have clients reaching out and workers needing material all at the same time. Time management is probably the hardest things I face. One day I hope to find someone/partnership that will make this operation more profitable and fluent!

R&R Construction is an Insured Interior and exterior remodeling company servicing the Dallas area. We offer Electrical, Bathroom Remodels, Additions, Plumbing, Power washing/Staining, Painting, and Handyman Services.
We are known for our bath remodels! Our tile setter go above and beyond when it comes to detailed work. We’re a small local company and available to our clients 24/7 opposed to larger companies.
What matters most to you? Why?
The clients’ expectations! We always try and exceed them from the start to finish. Starting from our prep work all the way to the finished product. Making sure everything is cleaned and, in a photo, ready manner when turned in.
