Renalda (Neia) Price Founded Wink Studios Lash Academy in 2018. She has been the owner and Operator of Wink Studios LLC since 2009, providing Eyelash Extension services in Arlington, TX. Neia knew that the Eyelash Industry would be a Never-ending necessity in the beauty industry and wanted to help the upcoming Lash artists by mentoring and providing tools for them to have a successful Beauty business. Over the last 4 years, we have provided students the education to pursue their dreams. We provide our students the education in Excellency with tremendous encouragement throughout the programs. At Wink studio’s lash academy, our students are our #1 priority. The entire staff at our school is committed to making education the most enjoyable and successive learning experience for our students. We are a TDLR Approved Cosmetology school that specializes in licensing for Esthetics and Eyelash Extension programs as well as multiple beauty service certifications.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Building a brand and starting a school has not been easy. We are located in a business building that does not have signage on the exterior or immediate Street presents, so you would have to be looking for us to find us. In the beginning, there were not a lot of Eyelash schools in the area, so Enrollment was consistent. With the positive google reviews and customer referrals, we have been able to graduate 89 students, expand our facility, and maintain a 98% passing rate.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
The primary function of Wink Studios lashes Academy is to educate and provide students with skills to achieve their state license for eyelash extension and esthetics. What sets Us apart from other cosmetology schools is our focus on providing the students with the information to form their businesses. Building their business foundation properly allows them to create their business vision properly. I am most proud of sustaining a 14-year consistent, lucrative business. Leading by example and providing a blueprint for students that have enabled them to graduate, start their business, and allowed them to achieve a six-figure income in their 1st year of opening. WSLA offers discounted beauty services provided by 2nd and 3rd phase students. This allows them to practice, receive a grade, and gain potential new clients. Our brand is Business and building beautiful relationships.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
Risks are amazing! Risks get me out of my comfort zone, and anytime I’m uncomfortable I know that I’m on my way to that next open door. If I had never take risks, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today. Building a brand and a business can be so scary, and you question your sanity sometimes! If you never take the risk, you’ll never see the reward.
