Revisha Threats

Hi Revisha, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Starting with the man above, blessing me to be so talented. I’ve always had a love and passion for the beauty industry. So, growing up, I always played in my mother’s makeup & loved to play makeup on friends’/family’s faces. Also, loving everything about hair that there is to know. When I was younger, my sister (Now deceased) was working on a set of a movie a decided to have a celebrity make-up artist create me a personalized makeup kit. She surprised me on Christmas and did my first makeup lesson. She told me my first lesson: “YOU NEED TO LEARN EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT THE PRODUCTS YOU USE & DON’T USE ON PEOPLE’S SKIN.” So going forward, as I grew older, I’ve always studied everything involving MAKEUP. I have not put the make-up brush down yet. I love transforming women’s & men’s appearance. I love the confidence it gives so people when they look in the mirror when I complete their look. Moments like that is why I began in the first place. Then, watching my 14-year-old daughter follow in my footsteps and fall in love with doing make-up as well.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
So, growing up a teen mother was not easy. Being young & dumb, I got into a fight in high school, which caused me to get expelled my senior year and not graduate. I lost hope fighting to get my diploma. So, I just focused on getting a job to take care of my daughter. I faced a lot of obstacles in life as I met my kids’ fathers. My oldest son father was murdered in front of me then the next couple of years my sister committed suicide. So, in remembrance of them, I started going harder trying to complete the important tasks in my life, like starting my make-up business again and completing my GED so I could go to cosmetology school. Raising 4 kids as a single parent, you have to work around a lot of schedules but always keep incoming coming in your home. So, a lot of times, I kept putting my dreams on hold. Also, taking the GED numerous times, not being able to pass, and taking the classes were not helping. Taking it upon myself to become self-taught and just take as many independent makeup classes as I can to help build me up in another way.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a make-up artist, lash tech, and I sell hair extensions. I am proud a stand behind all my products & all the work I do. What sets me apart I move with love & paying attention to details. Giving top-notch service not just for the money.

The hair I sell is from one of the top vendors that top brands use, but I sell for the lowest price possible, practically the vendor price.
