Meet Rithvik Ganesh and Vedant Tapiavala of Auguste Mobile in Plano

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rithvik Ganesh and Vedant Tapiavala.

Rithvik and Vedant, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Auguste Mobile started when we decided to participate in the Congressional App Challenge, an app development competition sponsored by the US House of Representatives. When we saw that 12.1% of the Medicare-receiving population in Collin County suffered from Alzheimer’s disease, we combined our knowledge of technology with our passion for helping others and created AlzBuddy, an app for Alzheimer’s patients and other patients with dementia. After we won the Congressional App Challenge, the US House of Representatives invited us to Capitol Hill.

Later, due to the coronavirus pandemic, child abuse rates spiked. Once again, we saw the news and realized the intensity of the problem we decided we needed to help. So, we began our collaboration with the Baltimore Children’s Advocacy Center to create Coaware, an app to help combat the increase in child abuse rates during and after the coronavirus pandemic. We are currently working with them and several teachers to implement a version of Coaware that teachers and other child abuse reporters can use nationwide.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of our biggest challenges, like with other small businesses, was the COVID-19 pandemic. Nursing homes were among the hardest hit by this pandemic, and outreach for us became much more challenging due to the mass shutdown of nursing homes worldwide. However, the coronavirus created new problems in our community for us to solve. Due to the rising child abuse crisis, we stepped in and created Coaware to help our community during these unusual times.

Please tell us about Auguste Mobile.
Auguste Mobile is an app development group we developed that combines various mobile applications for ourselves and other individuals. Auguste Mobile’s development portfolio includes AlzBuddy, an application designed to assist early-stage Alzheimer’s patients, and Coaware, an application designed to combat child abuse. At Auguste Mobile, we identify problems specifically related to health and wellness in communities and create innovative solutions to address specific aspects. We mainly specialize in applications addressing neurodegenerative and general health conditions in diverse patient groups.

As a group, we are most proud of the numerous collaborations we have had with reputed subject experts and industry professionals. In each of our projects, we always work to implement real industry experts’ feedback and incorporate their insights and expertise into our design process. With this, we create modernized applications that could truly impact the lives of others.
