Today we’d like to introduce you to Robert John.
Robert, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve practiced magic since the age of seven when my father gave me my first pack of playing cards and showed me a card trick. My Mother was a Painter and exposed me to the Arts very early on. I attended the best private schools and academies for the Arts program. I started working professionally at the age of twelve, starring in a Play at the Under Main Theatre. I was soon picked up by a Theatre Company to perform yearly work.
Eventually, I branched off to television and film and got signed to The Campbell Agency and started working in the field professionally. I attended a private arts conservatory college. In between this time I starred in numerous plays and was practicing Magic on the side. Eventually, relatives, peers, and other people began to notice my Magic and wanted to hire me for their event. I began booking different events and worked my way up the ranks of performing venues.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There was never any real struggle for me. I’ve come from such a great support system and learned to really take care of myself and do what I love, Magic. I had always found a way even when times got tough. I’m a firm believer in the Divine Spirit of Creation and understand that I’ve been protected throughout this whole journey.
We’d love to hear more about your work.
