As a former New York fashion model with a knack for makeup and fashion, Robin pursued and completed Undergraduate and Graduate studies in Psychology. But her love for entrepreneurship has always dominated her career and work life. Fascinated by beauty and fashion, she saw an opportunity with microblading to provide a beautiful semi-permanent solution to enhance her clients’ natural beauty, as well as provide training to others to enable them to have a successful career providing this beautiful treatment to clients. At this point, she has decided to focus her energy and talent into building a company that provides effortless solutions to enhance natural beauty. She has demonstrated her skillful techniques on many enhancing their beauty in life changing ways, as well as having been honored by a large celebrity clientele.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Since HighBrows Eye Couture opened in 2016, our artistry and the beauty of our Brow Awakening microblading has and Keratin Lash Lift has captured a lot of interest. We have been blessed with a thriving business from the beginning.
HighBrows Eye Couture – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The beautiful artistry of our Brow Awakening microblading has set us apart. Microblading is a form of semi-permanent cosmetics that creates beautiful realistic hair stroke eyebrows that last 12-24 months. Our clients love to be able to wake up every morning with perfect brows. With a Brow Awakening microblading a client can have zero brows, blonde invisible brows, have lost brows to chemotherapy or alopecia, or just need a little help filling and perfecting the shape of their eyebrows— either way, we have a beautiful solution that can give our client the appearance of naturally full brows that have been artistically designed to complement their facial proportions and their brow style preferences. We create a custom color that matches each client’s natural brow color and uses several shades, so the eyebrows will look multidimensional and natural. When a potential client sees our gallery of before and after photos we have almost always won them as a client. Our work speaks for itself. All of our artists are carefully vetted and have completed multiple certifications in the top training courses available. This guarantees our clients a truly beautiful result.
We start the process by consulting with the client and discovering what he or she would like to achieve. We will then begin to take measurements on the clients face and apply the golden ratio of beauty to the proportions of their brows. We will create a unique outline for each client’s brows that will complement their face and beauty.
We create the brows using a state-of-the-art hand tool that allows us to create thinner, more precise, hair-like strokes These strokes also come out looking more refined and beautiful than other methods of creating permanent or semi-permanent eyebrows because microblading gives us so much control. The whole procedure takes about two hours, including time to numb the brows for the clients comfort to keep the client comfortable and the procedure painless.
After the brows have healed, we bring the client back in 4-6 weeks for a Perfecting Session to touch up any areas needed to ensure their brows are beautifully perfect. The client’s brows will then be on point for them for at least a year.
We are also gaining a lot of attention with our unique keratin lash lift that gives clients eye popping results with their natural lashes. This is an excellent low maintenance alternative to eyelash extensions. The results last 8-12 weeks. Our clients love our keratin lash lift because it conditions your lashes while lifting them and does not carry the risk of damaging your lashes like traditional lash lift perms can. The keratin lash lift produces a more dramatic result and lasts longer than a traditional lash lift perm which will last 4-8 weeks.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moments in this business have been when my clients with Alopecia or extreme brow loss look at their Brow Awakening results and happy tears well up in their eyes when they see their face with their new eyebrows.
