Hi Rommie, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since childhood, creativity has been my constant companion. Moving to Dallas ignited my ambition to pursue content creation alongside a full-time job, a passion I’ve cherished for years. My true joy lies in creative expression, especially in front of the camera, honed through over seven years of modeling, including my tenure with AIMM agency.
Stepping beyond my comfort zone led me into initially uncomfortable situations, which ultimately proved to be pivotal decisions. They revealed my true calling: content creation, something I’m so passionate about that I gladly do it for free.
As a child, I often pondered my life’s path—what I wanted to do, how to achieve it, and what it would demand. Through it all, my faith in God has been foundational. Growing up as a creator taught me to think innovatively and strive for opportunities I once deemed unreachable.
In today’s world, many struggle to embrace their true selves. One thing I take pride in is following my own path and aligning myself with God’s timing in every aspect of my life. I live by my own terms, allowing things to unfold naturally, believing that what is meant for me will find its way. Success doesn’t happen overnight; it’s the dedication and effort we invest that make achievements truly rewarding.
When I moved from Atlanta, I never imagined I would become a creator or inspire others to embrace their authenticity and pursue their dreams. There’s a quote I hold dear: “Anything worth having is worth fighting for” – Susan Phillips. This reminds me not to give up on the things that truly matter, like love, happiness, peace, fulfillment, and new experiences.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been an easy journey at all, but who truly sails smoothly to success in this world? I believe those challenging moments in our lives—when we face change, shed tears, and think outside the box—are what define us as individuals.
My path certainly hasn’t been smooth. Hailing from a small town with just two traffic lights, carving out a name for myself in this vast world took time. I’ve encountered numerous adversities along the way. Overcoming negative thoughts and learning to be comfortable in my own skin, while not allowing others to unknowingly influence me, has been an uphill battle.
Balancing a full-time job with being a content creator is undeniably overwhelming. It’s a continuous process where I’ve struggled to know when to take a break and avoid overburdening myself. I’m always brainstorming new ideas and creating non-stop, but what truly sets me up for success is focusing on living in the moment and enjoying the content I create for myself. It’s crucial to stop comparing myself to others because everyone is on their own unique journey.
I lead an intriguing life, and I express it best through the content I create.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my deep connection with myself and my commitment to embracing freedom in this world. As a black male, I’ve navigated challenges stemming from societal obstacles and criticisms, whether about my appearance, tattoos, or background. Learning to be comfortable in my own skin has been pivotal in shaping who I am today.
As a content creator, my focus lies in promoting a sustainable lifestyle—living within one’s means and not succumbing to the pressures of social media’s ideals. We all face struggles, but finding effective coping mechanisms to overcome obstacles can lead to personal growth. My content revolves around activities like solo dates, travel, cherishing moments of peace, and even the simple joy of tidying my apartment, which I find immensely satisfying.
I’ve also come to understand my struggle with OCD; any disorderly detail can unsettle me. Channeling this awareness into my content creation process allows me to turn personal challenges into victories. At the end of the day, every step forward is a triumph.
