Meet Rosalyn Decepida of ReikiRosalynRN

Today we’d like to introduce you to Rosalyn Decepida.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Back in 2012, I experienced a number of major life transitions at one time which resulted in clinical depression, severe anxiety, and PTSD.

After going through many forms of traditional therapy, I was introduced to mindfulness meditation. Upon learning the neuroscience behind it, I was able to cure myself of all emotional issues within a relatively short period of time as well as heal a physical condition I had for over 9 years that doctors were unable to resolve for me.

In the middle of this, I had the impulse to explore energy healing and experience my own phenomenon with it. I knew I had to learn more so I became a Reiki Master and later also trained in another energy healing modality (Heart2Heart) which is premised on unconditional love. I have had nothing but remarkable experiences since.

My practice has evolved quickly to include meditation coaching and creating my own personalized plans to help those with anxiety and depression. This was all in response to addressing my clients’ overall needs. I knew I did not want them to return to me every week for a session. I wanted to teach people how to heal themselves.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It was not entirely smooth although I believe many things felt like they ‘landed in my lap.’ Being a registered nurse, I was a bit timid to let people know that I do energy healing.

Reiki is used in many teaching hospitals and other medical facilities throughout the United States and the rest of the world. Yet, I know people are skeptical of its efficacy and legitimacy. For me, I knew my own experiences were enough to make me move forward and let people know that they have other options.

I believe that pursuing your passion allows for things to be maneuvered in your favor and this is what happened to me. Not only did a location open up for me to see clients in-person within a week of new requests, but a few months later I was offered a second location closer to where I live in Rockwall to help those in my area.

Just this past week, I was gifted a new massage table and I am considering in-home visits! So, the biggest struggle has been mostly within my perception of how others would receive my services. But I recognize now that it is not my job to convince anyone. Those who have needed me have found me.

ReikiRosalynRN – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
As an energy healer, I am a conduit for energy to pass through me onto the recipient.

Before a new session, I explain from a quantum physics perspective how energy produces healing effects. This is something most energy healers do not do. I see people in person for their sessions as well as conduct distance ones.

Distance sessions mean I focus energy on the recipient whether they are in a different city, state, and even country. I give feedback on the things I perceive in my sessions upon completion and discuss any insight I may receive. My results with distance sessions are just as effective.

Additionally, I coach my clients on the ‘ins and outs’ of meditation as well as create my own guided ones. For those wanting to work on their anxiety and depression, I teach all the techniques I have learned and used over the years and condense it into a shorter term program for accelerated progress.

I did not have a coach when I was suffering emotionally years ago, and so now I get to be the person I needed back then. I love witnessing the breakthroughs my clients have, and their positive feedback is priceless. It is extremely fulfilling to see others happier and feeling better.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
There have been many. Many of my clients have reported pain resolving and other physical symptoms reducing or alleviating altogether.

But if I had to pick one, it would be an emotional breakthrough that one of my clients had that came up during a session. It was obviously suppressed. I explained to her that when we experience trauma and it is not processed it takes up residence in the autonomic nervous system and can cause issues later.

Releasing this particular memory helped her a lot at this moment, and I assured her that any recall of it would no longer be so painful. I have actually seen this happen more than once in other clients too and witnessing it each time is truly a tremendous privilege because I know the significance of it.
