Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Breault.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I am an interdisciplinary fine artist hailing from Dallas, TX. Using a range of painting mediums, I aim to create a world of unexpected juxtapositions. I grew up with a deep love for painting. After taking classes in high school and college, I continued pursuing the arts semi-professionally.
Please tell us about your art.
My paintings aim to pinpoint this process by composing wide-reaching landscapes occupied by isolated animals and organisms. The intertwining of natural elements with decay creates a story of demise and rebirth.
All life exists on a fixed timeline. Nature’s impatience when reclaiming deserted structures and landscapes serve as a constant reminder of the perpetual passing of time.
As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
After finishing school I choose a career outside of fine art. In a roundabout way, I have realized making art is what truly makes me happy. When I am able to give someone a piece that they are able to enjoy within their home or office, I feel as if my art has positively impacted that individual’s daily life.
I want to continue chasing this reward of making people’s spaces beautiful while being able to support my family.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
My work is online at my personal website and features all my latest work for sale. My Instagram account shares my process and day to day activity. I am always open to commissions. Prints of previous compositions are available for purchase through Society6.
Beginning next year, I plan on attending several art festivals within the Addision and North Dallas area, and will begin pursuing proper gallery exhibitions.
