Meet Ryan Cuffee and Ryan Mosley of The Vision Lab Podcast

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Cuffee and Ryan Mosley.

So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
In December of 2018, Cuff called me and said he wanted to discuss a possible creative outlet. We met up a few days later at Industrial Cigars in Frisco and put pen to paper and then poked holes in our plans. We fired up some cigars and after about four hours, The Vision Lab Podcast was born. We planned for about another five months after that and eventually put out our first episode in June of 2019.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We have definitely encountered some challenges along the way. All the technical issues you can think of when it comes to podcasting have come up at some point but we push through. We are both committed to the long term VISION of what we ultimately want the show to be and how it can help our listeners. We don’t believe in losing, we believe in the phrase, “We either win or we learn!” so anytime something comes up, we see it as an opportunity to learn and get better. One of the biggest parts of the show is taking consistent steps to become the best version of yourself, so we would not be staying true to ourselves if we didn’t practice what we preach.

The Vision Lab Podcast – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The Vision Lab Podcast is a show that you can listen to and no matter what you do in life, you can take pieces or breadcrumbs from one of our episodes and use it in your personal life to help you improve. We have literally interviewed people from every industry and walk of life you can imagine, so we’d like to think we have a little something for everybody who is willing to listen and is looking to get better at whatever their pursuits or ambitions might be.

What separates us is that we do all of this with the backdrop of cigars. We typically record with our guests while we all enjoy a cigar. We’ve found that some of the best ideas and conversations happen to take place in a cigar lounge or when we and our guests just kick back and have a good cigar.

We are the most proud of the fact that we literally started from scratch and have built this thing from the ground up. (Mo likes to say, “We’ve got it out the mud!”) We are a two-man operation and when it’s concerning the show, people known that they will speak to either Cuff or Mo. We don’t do the whole middle man thing. We’re real people and I think we’ve done a great job of doing our best to help others wherever we can. We’ve made some great relationships with some great people and we look forward to growing with them as the show continues to evolve.

Thank you again to all of our sponsors: Robert Garcia and the Family at Farmers Insurance in Lucas/Allen Texas, Paul Rogers at Nexm Creative, Definition Cigars, Edwina Brown and the entire crew at Blowin’ Smoke Cigar Lounge in Duncanville, TX, Krystal and Tim of Klase Vodka and the entire family at Dallas Leaf LLC.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
That’s easy! It’s our work ethic. We both are former college football players, so when it comes time for us to put our hands in the dirt and get some work done, neither one of us has any issue with putting in some sweat equity. I’m not sure anybody records at the rate that we do. We’ve had times where we’ve done three podcasts in a day. In the month of June, we knocked out 5 podcasts in about a 72-hour span. Our grind is for real!
