Today we’d like to introduce you to Ryan Geisler.
Ryan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My brother Russell and I have always loved being creative with photography and videography growing up. Our first paid gigs were for weddings of family friends when we were in high school. Ever since then, we’ve been hooked on looking to tell a story, share a memory or communicate creatively with an audience through videography and photography. I ended up deciding after high school to go to the University of North Texas and pursue a television and film degree. When I graduated in the Spring of 2013, my brother and I started helping at a media company on the side to make a little extra money. Finally, in the Summer of 2017, we decided to launch our own media company. Today we are still loving every opportunity we get to partner with clients in commercial and personal settings to help create art through the lens of photography and videography, whether for a wedding, a promo commercial for a business or a TV series for a client.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We thoroughly enjoy creating compelling media that tells the specific story or message our clients want to tell. But, having a small business has not always been easy. We have had a wide range of clients and sometimes the budget for a project is small. Being creative and creating a quality product within the budget can challenge us to think outside the box.
Please tell us about Thank You Media.
Thank You Media is a team of professionals with over 20 years of experience in media – creating photography and videography content for clients in commercial and personal settings. We founded Thank You Media to provide high-quality photography and video for clients looking to tell a story, share a memory or communicate creatively with an audience. We have experience not only in cinematography, and photography but also newsroom and live production work.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory growing up was going on a field trip with my 1st-grade class on the train to Fort Worth Stockyards. We were reading through the Polar Express book and the teachers and staff decorated and provided snacks to all the students as a way to reenact the book.
