Sade, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My name is Sade Briscoe and I am a registered nurse. I have been a nurse for a little over 7 years and have cared for many people along the way. Being the second oldest of 12 children, I have always been a nurturer so it was no surprise when I decided to pursue a nursing as a profession. The last few years I took an interest in travel nursing. One day while working on a travel nursing assignment during the COVID-19 crisis, I cared for a patient who was insistent on being given a vitamin infusion. Although it wasn’t common treatment for COVID, I asked the doctor for an order for a banana bag, which is a bag of IV fluids filled with essential nutrients such as thiamine, folate, magnesium, and multivitamins.” The doctor I was working with, gave me the order and stated, “It can’t hurt to try.” We were all blown away when that patient reported that she felt so much better than before taking the infusion.

Myself along with my medical director have done the hard work and are focused on keeping our customers safe. COVID -19 has taught me so many lessons. One lesson is to take life by the horns. Live life like there is no tomorrow. Due to being a nurse and working the Covid units, I have witnessed a lot. I don’t take my role for granted. I am able to touch the lives of people in ways unimaginable. I am humbled by profession and am also grateful as my business was birthed during the COVID-19 crisis.
