Hello, my name is Samantha Frederick. I got my first tattoo at age 17. I have always been obsessed with tattoos. I was always drawing instead of taking notes. I followed my dream and opened Depiction Tattoo Gallery in 2010 with 2 artists. Over the years we have grown and now have 6 talented artists providing custom tattoo designs to a wide variety of clients.
We regularly attend tattoo conventions and have made a name for ourselves in the tattoo community. Always looking for ways on improving our tattooing and shop, we look forward to the future. At Depiction, we pride in ourselves on our clean, calm environment and our talented artists.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There are always struggles that pop up such as customer service, personalities clashing, unexpected expenses and more but it is all worth it and there is never anything that we can’t handle. Maintaining a positive attitude is the key.
Please tell us about Depiction Tattoo Gallery.
We are a custom studio. Every tattoo is different and unique. Quality over quantity. We all draw things differently giving our clients a variety of style choices to represent their ideas in the best way we can. I feel that our artists take great pride in our work, our studio, our clients and themselves.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
This is funny to me because I would have done everything differently and nothing at all. I would have spent less money and I would have picked a better location. I would have had more experience when I opened, I would have been more educated but that’s impossible and I only know what should I have done differently because I made those mistakes.
Moving forward I am excited to take what I have learned and apply it to future endeavors.
