Meet Samira Ghani of Slice of Gourmet

Today we’d like to introduce you to Samira Ghani.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Samira. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have a passion for cooking, baking and developing new recipes. The first time I baked a cake, I was six years old and instantly fell in love with the magic baking and cooking can bring. I recently started a food blog to share my passion with others, check it out @sliceofgourmet on Instagram! I give daily recipes and weekly live cooking classes. During the Pandemic lockdown, I would do daily cooking classes to give people something to look forward to. Using my platform to share my passion with others is such a rewarding experience and it helps me achieve my goal of bringing the world just a little closer together and to be able to celebrate our differences as well as our similarities.

Has it been a smooth road?
Getting my account started was hard because I was new to the world of Instagram and putting myself out there. It took some getting used to putting myself on my stories, sharing experiences. I now have many people seeing, following and engaging with my content. I am eternally grateful for where I am today with my account and the love and support people have shown my page. I love being able to share my knowledge with others and perhaps inspire them to step out of their comfort zone and try a new recipe or two.

We’d love to hear more about Slice of Gourmet.
A slice of gourmet is a food blog. I share recipes and host virtual cooking classes for my followers. The recipes are quick, easy to follow, and delicious and the cuisine is from all around the world and ranges from spicy to mild to sweet. I offer free live cooking classes to be able to share my love for creating delicious meals with everyone. In a world where there’s so much dividing us, I truly feel that the love for food is universal and it’s the thread that ties us all to each other. I’m just so elated to be a part of what unifies us.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I feel like the pandemic and when we get out of it will change us all. I feel like there is going to be a renewed interest in eating healthy meals at home together and as such there will be a greater need for quick, easy and nutritious recipes that can be made easily at home.
