Meet Sara Belmonte of DESIGN REMODEL PROS

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Belmonte.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Sara. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Simply said, two sweethearts and an entrepreneurial spirit ignited the creation Design Remodel Pros (DRP) in 2002. I remember negotiating with banks in my college dorm room and studying contracts in my “free time”. I flipped houses before it was popular. Bryan, my boyfriend at the time, became my business partner and later my husband. From flipping houses, we started our remodeling company.

With engineering and business backgrounds, we wanted to build a business based on Integrity, Quality Craftsmanship, and Old-Fashioned Customer Service. We created a full-service remodeling company with Design in Mind. As a woman-owned business, We are “Construction with a Lady’s Touch”.

Bryan and I concentrated our efforts on building our team of specialized craftsmen to be a part of Design Remodel Pros. DRP has a desire to make your vision a reality. We service the DFW area and look forward to serving more families in beautifying their homes.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have gained so much experience through Design Remodel Pros, I lived and breathed my business. DRP was our “first baby”. We grew and nurtured it. By 2013, I had been a business owner for 11 years, and I got the news our family would be growing, I was now expecting and I had no idea how motherhood would change my life.

As quickly as we rejoiced in growing our family, challenges arose. I had a high-risk pregnancy and Bryan had to take on some of my responsibilities. In addition, I was put on bed-rest, DRP office meetings moved to my bedroom so that business continued as usual. In April of 2014, we welcomed our daughter, the greatest blessings of our lives.

She is our everything, I desired to be truly present for her and also continue my professional career. I wanted to be there for all her “firsts”, when she rolled over, said her first word and for all those first moments a mom cherishes.

Being a mom is such an amazing gift. Yet, in this new “field” called motherhood, I no longer was the expert. Talk about multi-tasking as a mom business owner! I was trying to gain a grasp on sleep, figuring out teething and how to fit in my work responsibilities.

How was I to manage my passions: my business and my family?
I understand how important it is to be a mommy, and continue my identity as a business owner. Moms are natural networkers. We ask for advice and share our experiences. So, why not use these innate traits along with an entrepreneurial spirit and build our businesses, “MOM-style”.

I looked to change the cultural perception of being a mom and business owner. I certainly didn’t fit that mold. I am a MOMpreneur! I prayed on how to create a way to fill the breach between being an involved mom and a successful business owner. After sharing my vision with other mom business owners, I saw I was not the only one that had this struggle.

I knew I wanted to empower moms to embrace the uniqueness of being a Mompreneur. I don’t want moms to feel that they have to choose between running a business or being at home with their children. So, with that passionate desire, Moms Out Marketing, LLC (MOM) was born in March of 2017 to encourage moms through this journey.

MOM’s MISSION is to support you as a mom & help your business flourish by having a framework that encourages every aspect of being a mom!

Life rarely goes as planned, and I welcome the journey as it unveils. I am so excited by the adventures of being a MOM and the possibilities that Moms Out Marketing is creating for other business owners.

I believe in relationships and both my businesses reveal this!

Design Remodel Pros is a full-service, woman-owned remodeling company with Design in Mind. We specialize in BATHROOMS, KITCHENS, CABINETRY & PAINT. We have been transforming homes since 2002 and enjoy doing custom work and making your vision come to life.

I am most proud of the way our DRP remodels can impact a family’s life. We enjoy the time we get to be a part of your home as we get to know you. We enjoy offering old-fashioned customer service and truly care about your project. Our DRP team has skilled craftsmen on your projects. We look to be your life-long remodeling company. Moms Out Marketing gives me the opportunity to promote Design Remodel Pros.

Moms Out Marketing, LLC(MOM) looks to build relationships among MOMpreneurs and encourages a framework to support the uniqueness of being a MOM. Moms Out Marketing is “Changing the ways MOMs network” We gather twice a month for “Networking Playdates” and Frisco Socials in child-friendly environments. We also contribute to the community by offering quarterly charity vendor events.

Therefore, you may find MOMs meeting at Monster Yogurt’s Indoor playground or at Pizzeria Testa with a bubble machine at our Frisco Socials, there you will witness MOM Business owners networking, strategizing and sharing our lives passions to build the greatest empires: our families & our businesses.

How do you, personally, define success? What’s your criteria, the markers you’re looking out for, etc?
I define success as creating something that can positively affect the lives of others while creating a ripple effect. Benefit the greater good with a philanthropic heart, is how I live my life.

One of my favorite quotes is; “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Whether it is touching peoples lives through remodeling and enhancing the memories that take place in their home; empowering MOMs to build their empire while having her children in tow or being able to support the community through philanthropy. My intention is to leave a positive influence on the world so that I leave this world a happier place for all. This is success in my eyes.
