Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Terkla.
Sarah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My boutique journey started like most, I think, I was sitting in a cubicle feeling unfulfilled. I was feeling like my time sitting there wasn’t worth the time I was spending away from my daughter and husband. My first step to where I am now was definitely a detour. I went back to school after already having a BS in Health Education. I started to take more science courses to apply to Physician Assistant School. This detour took almost two years, and always in the back of my head, I thought, “if this doesn’t work out, I’m starting a boutique,” which was so strange to me at the time. So when I didn’t get into PA school, I immediately started prepping for my store. I wanted to start online, but my husband (Robert Terkla – LunkersTV – YouTube Personality), already having successful businesses wanted me to start in a big way – with a storefront and an online shop! I was startled at first because that’s big, that’s more permanent, and that’s just MORE! But here we are only about four months old, and we are growing every day! I couldn’t have done this without the support of family and the huge push that my husband gave me!
Has it been a smooth road?
The road was bumpy, and I am sure it will continue to be so. However, that’s just life honestly. I learn new things every day and I am positive I will continue to learn more along the way.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love DENTON! The square is so nice. It really is a great community. All the local businesses are super supportive and not to mention the residents – they love to shop small.
